"Whether it be the Soul itself, or God in the Soul, that shines by Lov, or both, it is difficult to tell: but certainly the Lov of the Soul is the sweetest Thing in the world." (Thomas Traherne, Centuries 4:83).

"the Mystery that hath been hid in God"

Thomas Traherne, Centuries: 1: 5

The fellowship of the Mystery that hath been hid in God, since the Creation is not only the Contemplation of his Lov in the Work of Redemption: Tho that is Wonderfull, but the End, for which we are Redeemed: A Communion with Him in all His Glory. for which caus, S. Peter saith The God of all Grace, hath called us unto His Eternal Glory by Jesus Christ. His Eternal Glory by the Methods of His Divine Wisdom being made ours; and our Fruition of it, the End for which our Savior suffered.
